WHO YOU ARE
To highlight a profile of the personal and professional goals of our readers, we culled questionnaires from undergraduate and graduate students, entry-level professionals, mid-level managers, on-the-job supervisors, and decision-making executives. We asked about their gender, age, minority status, geographic location, career discipline, and annual salary range.

Of the respondents, 52% were female and 48% were male. The majority of the respondents were in the 36-50- year-old category. Most of the survey participants were engineers (62.5%), while 27% pursued a job in IT.

Readers from coast to coast participated in our annual survey, with the majority coming from the Northeast (40%); followed by the Midwest (25%); the Southeast (20%); the West (10%); and the Southwest (5%).

Asked to specify their minority status, respondents were African-American, Hispanic, Asian Pacific Islander, and Native American.

Questioned about their annual salaries, these working professionals salaries range from a minimum of $30,000 to $80,000 and up.
