 Seven Tips For Getting Ahead

Getting ahead takes planning, persistence, and progress. Distractions may come and obstacles will arise, but you can overcome them and achieve your goals using these tips as a guide.

MAKE TIME FOR SOLITUDE Just 15 minutes in the morning of alone time can have a great impact on your day. In our 24/7 society, the constant connection with the world can get cumbersome and distracting. Get in tune with your inner spirit and allow yourself to hear ideas and instructions that are meant for you. The act of solitude can solve many problems. For example, when I was building my business, I would rise early and escape to my sweet spot where I cleansed my mind of worry and visualized a booming business with ideal happy clients who used my products to improve their own businesses and lives. In solitude you can calmly consider your dreams and goals and envision your personal success.

CLEAN UP THE CLUTTER Clutter creates chaos and makes you feel less in control of your business and life. Organization, on the other hand, is such a big part of getting ahead and staying ahead. You’ll feel more in control and confident throughout your day when you have order.

Organize and beautify your work and living space. It is hard to get ahead in a cluttered, chaotic atmosphere. Keep a clean desk. Even if you like to work messy, at the end of the day put everything back in order. This simple task of clearing your desk can calm you down and help you think more clearly as you wrap up your day. You’ll also feel great starting off each day with a clear, clean space. Maintain a clean, clutter-free atmosphere in order to eliminate stress and improve clarity and focus.

DETOX NEGATIVITY Rid yourself of people or things that drain your energy and make you feel badly. One of the success secrets to getting ahead is ridding yourself of toxic relationships, people who drain, complain, and fill your space with negativity. Sometimes we tolerate toxic relationships for the sake of loyalty. However, you must consider at what cost you are holding on. Consider how you feel after you’ve met with the person. Do you share uplifting meaningful banter, or is it all just gossip and complaints?

Choose to associate with others who build you up, support you, and challenge you to be better. The right relationships are important to living happy and achieving your dreams and goals. You need great relationships with other go-getters who are success seekers like yourself.

Also, make it a point to stop negative self-talk. This is important because what you say about yourself you will believe. Use affirmations to speak the good things about your life. Celebrate your wins and encourage yourself!

MAKE SMALL CHANGES FOR BIG RESULTS Consistent action on a daily basis is easier to manage. When you make small changes, you will build momentum and confidence and reach your goals faster than if you try to attack a big goal in one fell swoop. Forget the superhero approach; you don’t have to leap over buildings in a single bound. The all or nothing approach can be daunting and de-motivating. Instead, break your goals down into bite-size chunks and make a plan to take action daily. Challenge yourself to meet smaller milestones daily. Everyday write a list of the top five things that must be accomplished, then focus to achieve those five before moving on to other tasks.

ADD FUN Do what you love and find the fun in all that you do. Create a space that is fun and exciting—such as colorful accessories and décor— so that you’ll love working in it. Celebrate your wins with rewards. Our motto is to work hard and play hard. The more you enjoy your work and life, the happier and more accomplished you’ll become.

BE AUTHENTIC Your greatest area of success will come from your authenticity. To get ahead this year, harness your originality and creativity to produce your best work yet. Embrace your genius and use it to enhance your life. When you infuse what is unique about you into your work, you will attract your ideal clients and customers, because they’ll be able to see who you really are.

WRITE YOUR OWN SUCCESS STORY Writing is a powerful success attraction action for abundance and dream fulfillment. Keep a journal to record your dreams, goals, past success, brilliant thoughts, and action plans. What you write will become instructions to your subconscious mind. Thinking on paper is a big key to getting ahead.

Keep different journals for ideas, general notes, reflections, your lists, and to track your progress. It is good to spend just a few minutes in the morning or at night writing down your thoughts to clear your head and to plan for the next day. Journaling at night helps you sleep better. You can rest well without nagging feelings of unfinished business, or looming projects swirling around in your head at night. Simply drain your brain on paper, sort through your ideas, create plans, and when you’re done, close the book. Use your journal to write truthfully, consistently, and often. You will discover so many new things about yourself.
